What is Legacy Planning for the Digital Age?

In simple terms many people have a few "main assets" and they are known about by their loved ones, for example a House or a bank account(s), possibly also ISA's and Pension(s). Inheriting such assets and passing them on is usually via Probate and the emphasis is on the executors actually knowing what the Estate consists of.

Nowadays and in the future people will invest into and collect Digital Assets, such as Bitcoin, other Crypto Currencies and NFT's and self custody is a best practice within these environments, but this comes with the risk, that somebody who owned the Assets had documented plans in place, of what Assets were held, their location and most importantly what was required to retrieve them.
